The department at the University of Kassel deals with the range of socio-economic aspects of planning: the interdependencies of building economy and housing crisis, ownership and affordability, financing and project development, as well as studying the comprehensive eco-social costs in the context of climate and distributive justice.

The proposed corporate design is based on a grid that reminds of a scaffolding structure. The dynamic grid adjusts to accommodate diverse content. The color palette of black (white) and orange is inspired by construction aesthetics like barrier tape and cones.

Fonts: Baste by @imageformat is a bold and at the same time soft and technical typeface whereas Monument Grotesk by @abcdinamo is a very clear and confident font with a compact skeleton and high vertical contrast.
